How to download the PostMyParty Chrome Extension
The Chrome extension is used to publish posts to Facebook, using a computer or laptop.
Posts can be scheduled to these locations on Facebook:
- Groups
- Events
- Business Pages
- Messenger Chats

We recommend using the Google Chrome browser, but many have used Microsoft Edge successfully as well.
How to download the PostMyParty extension:
- Open your internet browser. (We have found Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge are most reliable. This extension is not compatible with Safari).
- Go to the download link, here: https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/postmyparty/ofahkepebjpkbhkcfkinmideifnjfdgo
- Click the Add to Chrome button
(This may be labeled as "Get" instead).
A box will pop up, click Add Extension.
The extension has now been installed - but don't stop here.
⭐Continue on to turn the extension on. This is very important!
Click the X in the corner of this box.
Enable the extension:
- Log into your Facebook account.
Tap the Extensions icon from your browser bar (looks like a puzzle piece).
- Click on PostMyParty either here in this box, or where it's been pinned.
Enter your PostMyParty login information.
Once logged in, a No Current Data window will be displayed.
- Toggle the switch in the top right corner on.
The box will circle while loading any parties you have scheduled.

Ensure your posts are ready to publish. This step is very important!
Once you have parties scheduled that you want to post, you will need to either:

- If this method is used, the posts will publish at the time scheduled for without your computer needing to be on.
- This option is for groups only.
OR
- Your computer is on. If you are using a laptop, be sure to keep the lid open.
- Your browser is open (the same one you had downloaded the extension to).
- You are logged into your Facebook account, in that same browser.
- The Chrome extension is on and has been refreshed.
* If this method is used, when the time for a scheduled posts arrives, the extension will open an new tab, publish to the Facebook location it was scheduled for, then close the tab.
