Schedule a Party from the Chrome Extension

This feature is only available for posts scheduled to Facebook Groups - not Events, Pages, or Messenger Chats.⭐If you have not already, you'll need to schedule your posts on PostMyParty before following the steps below.

This article walks you through how to use the Schedule a Party function, given in the Chrome extension.

Pre-load your post content to Facebook, so they're set to publish without your computer needing to be on!

πŸ’‘TIPS:We recommend scheduling a few parties at a time, then taking a break before scheduling more. If you are scheduling multiple parties, be mindful that any post leaving your account is spaced at least 5-10 minutes apart before using this tool.

You can watch the full video tutorial below or continue reading for written instructions.

First, open the extension:

From your browser, click the Extension icon (looks like a puzzle piece).

From the list given, choose PostMyParty.

You may be asked to log into your PostMyParty account here - and if it's not already, toggle the switch in the top right corner on.

  • The box will circle while thinking, then display all posts that are scheduled from your PostMyParty account.

Next, let's get a post scheduled:

Click the Schedule a Party tab at the top of the extension box.

From the dropdown box given, select the party that you want to pre-load to Facebook, and click Schedule.

A new Facebook tab will pop up and load your post info, and fill in the Date and Time of that post.

(No need to copy/paste your content!)

Depending on the amount of posts in your party, and the size of the media attached to your posts, this can take several minutes to load all posts.

πŸ’‘ TIP: If you need to continue working from your computer while your posts are uploading, we recommend opening a different browser and working from there until it is finished loading.

You can check the status anytime by re-opening the extension and viewing how many posts have successfully uploaded so far.

Once all posts are uploaded, the Facebook tab will close.

For posts scheduled this way:

  • Facebook is then responsible for publishing your posts at the time scheduled for.

  • You do not need to have your computer on or be connected to the internet at the time of your posts are scheduled for, in order for them to publish.

These posts can be found listed in the Manage panel on the left-hand side of the Facebook group they're scheduled to.

On PostMyParty, the posts' statuses will now be labeled as Scheduled to Facebook on date/time.
